RECOGNISING AN ORIGINAL

original cover

back cover

right : label (A side)

note that the colour is not accurate, the original is a deep royal blue

How to tell if you have one of the original releases from 1966

The original cover has a white screen print on matt black paper, stuck on white card sleeve.

The back is a poorly photocopied sheet, white, stuck on the card cover. The print is greyish.

The original release number is on the top of the back cover. The "MJB" is the name of the transcription company, see label. Mike added 113 / 7 somewhat arbitarily!

The
label is dark blue with the title and "Bands 1 - 10" on the A side; and "Bands 11 - 21" on the B side. There are two matrix numbers "Bev LP 373 " on the A side; and "Bev LP 374" on the B side. These are also on the vinyl surface.

There
was also a duplicated A4 stapled booklet.
